The level you choose scales the whole price, because it scales the whole job — a deep clean of a five-bedroom house is far more work than a deep clean of a one-bedroom condo. How is my price calculated?
Your price starts from the size of your home — bedrooms and bathrooms — then adds any extras you choose. The service level you pick scales that whole figure: a deep clean or a move-out clean is more work on a big home than on a small one, so it is priced as a multiple of the same home's standard price rather than as a flat add-on. If you book a recurring clean, the frequency discount comes off after that and before tax, and 13% HST is added at the end. Every one of those lines is itemised on screen before you commit.
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes, as long as the details you give us are accurate. We quote a flat price for the visit rather than billing by the hour, so the team can take the time to do the job properly. If we arrive to something substantially different from what was described, we will talk to you before doing any extra work.
Do I have to sign a contract for a recurring clean?
No. Recurring plans carry a discount, but there is no lock-in — you can change your frequency or stop at any time by getting in touch with us.
What is included in a standard clean?
Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas: surfaces, floors, high-touch points, glass, and bins. Inside the fridge, inside the oven, and interior windows sit outside the standard clean and can be added as extras when you book. A move-out clean is different: inside the appliances is part of its scope.
What is the difference between a standard clean and a deep clean?
A standard clean is upkeep — kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas on a home that is already in reasonable shape. A deep clean covers all of that and then what upkeep skips: baseboards, door frames, window tracks, built-up grime, and behind and under whatever the team can safely move. It takes longer, so it costs more. You choose your level in the first step of the quote and the price updates straight away.
When should I book a move-in or move-out clean?
When the home is empty. With nothing in the way the team can clean inside the cabinets and closets, inside the appliances, and dust from the tops of the cabinets down, which is what a landlord or a buyer is looking for. It is a service level you pick when you build your quote, not an add-on.
Do I need to provide supplies or equipment?
No. Our cleaning specialists arrive with professional-grade products and equipment, including eco-friendly options on request. All we need is access to your home.
Are your cleaning specialists insured and background-checked?
Yes. Everyone who cleans for Atelier Maids is our own employee rather than subcontracted labour, and each is background-checked, insured, bonded, and WSIB covered before their first visit.
What if something is not right?
Tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and put it right at no charge. That is our satisfaction guarantee, and it applies to every clean.
When am I charged?
You confirm your booking online, and if card payment is switched on you will see exactly what is being charged before you confirm. Otherwise we invoice you separately and nothing is taken on the day you book.
